Steffen Karneth's interest in Evolutionary Enlightenment was inspired by the extraordinary human potential that was unleashed during the fall of the Berlin Wall that ended the communist regime in his East German homeland.

He met Andrew Cohen in 1994 and became one of the founding members of the EnlightenNext center in Cologne a year later. He is also founding partner of the German edition of the award-winning magazine What is Enlightenment?

In 2001 Karneth moved to Holland to support the EnlightenNext center in Amsterdam as development director. He also took a position at WebEx, an American technology company and leading provider for online collaboration and web conferencing services. Over the last 5 years he has been developing those emerging markets within large enterprises in Europe and the Middle East.

With the growing interest in Evolutionary Enlightenment, Karneth recently moved back to Germany to help lead the development of the newly founded EnlightenNext center in Frankfurt.
